There have been several great rivalries through the years in the world of sports.

Ali/Frazier.

Connors/McEnroe.

Nicklaus/Palmer.

And Bird/Johnson.

Larry Bird and Magic Johnson were two of the most talented and competitive athlete's in sports history.  From the classic 1979 NCAA Championship Game with Bird's Cinderella Indiana State team facing Magic's Michigan State.

Into the NBA and so many great match up's between Bird's Celtic's and Magic's Lakers.  Truly games and moments that live on in sports history.

And, of course, the two became great friends.  The 'rural' Bird and the 'urban' Magic made for an interesting friendship.  Here, they sit down with David Letterman.
