Kenny Chesney moved from Sony Music Nashville to Warner Music Nashville, and you can go ahead say it: "Who cares?" The superstar won't be any more or less super just because he parks his car on Music Row now (the new Sony offices have moved just off the Row), but several artists will benefit from the shift and we can all but guarantee his fate at the 2018 Grammy Awards.

Officially, Chesney's Blue Chair Bay imprint moves to Warner Music Nashville. In fact, the singer's label is listed first in a press release, signifying greater creative control — but honestly, who was telling the future Hall of Famer what to do anyway? New co-workers will inspire new energy, though, which will be reflected on his next album. Let's start there:

Chesney's new labelmates include Blake Shelton, Brett Eldredge, Cole Swindell, Randy Travis and Devin Dawson. Chris Janson was quick to welcome him to the team:

New music from Chesney isn't necessarily imminent. We boldly predicted a new Underwood album in 2017 after her split from Sony, and here we are one year later watching grass grow. If it's coming this year he's likely to have it finished prior to his 2018 tour kickoff in April.

Chesney has remained quiet about his latest move on social media. He rarely does television, but did appear on Late Night With Seth Myers last month.
