What could be better than Justin Moore and Brantley Gilbert collaborating together for Moore's new album? How about the two artists collaborating on a song with an eyebrow-raising name like "More Middle Fingers."

“I found a song called "More Middle Fingers," and I thought, 'Well, this is my opportunity to get Brantley to pay me back,'" Moore tells Taste of Country with a laugh. (Moore previously helped Gilbert out with the song "Small Town Throwdown," which appears on Gilbert's Just as I Am album.)

Though "More Middle Fingers" piques listeners' interest with its title alone, Moore admits, "It’s really not as brash as maybe it suggests." As for the song's potential as a single, the singer says, "We'll see ... it'd be fun."

Moore's forthcoming project is the follow-up record to his No. 1 Off the Beaten Path album, released in 2013.

“We’re excited about it, and we took a lot of time off in between albums," he shares. "Hopefully the music will reflect it."

In addition to his song with Gilbert, Moore's record will include one more collaboration, although he's staying mum on the details.

In January, Moore revealed that the album was approximately halfway finished, and now, it's in the final stages and will hopefully be dropping in September. He recently revealed the record's debut single, “You Look Like I Need a Drink."

“The song, to me, had a pretty good combination of what we’ve done in the past, but also a little glimpse of what we’re going to do in the future, musically,” Moore explains. “We did some different things in the studio, technically, and we thought this would be the perfect way [to introduce that]. We didn’t want to freak out the fans and give them something completely different than what we’ve done in the past.”

Moore is scheduled to play the Lost Highway Motorcycle Show & Concert this summer, and Gilbert is slated to perform as well. Perhaps they'll show off "More Middle Fingers" at that time? For information on upcoming shows, visit Moore's official website.
