ROSLYN, S.D. (AP) — A judge has granted a motion seeking limited publicity in the trial of a man accused of shooting another man in his home in Day County.

Forty-four-year-old Roslyn resident Jason Lewandowski is charged with premeditated murder for the death of 33-year-old Jeremy Hendrickson.

The American News reports Judge Jon Flemmer granted the motion this week controlling publicity.

Day County state's attorney Danny Smeins says the motion limits discussion from witnesses and the attorneys in the case. He says it's not a gag order, which would restrict any discussion about the case.

Authorities say Lewandowski entered Hendrickson's home on November 20th and shot him. Lewandowski was arrested after leading officers on a chase that ended outside an Aberdeen hospital.

Hendrickson died of his injuries on December 9th at a hospital.
