Josh Abbott's baby girl is here! The Josh Abbott Band lead singer and his girlfriend, Taylor Parnell, welcomed their new addition on Friday (May 5).

People reports that Emery Farryn Abbott -- a name meaning "brave adventure," according to Abbott and Parnell -- was born around 1AM in Austin, Texas. She weighed 6 pounds, 13 ounces, and measured 19 inches long at birth.

“Taylor and I are so in love with our baby girl already,” Abbott says. “Hard to explain it unless you’ve experienced it, but Emery has already changed me as a man. I’m so excited to show her love and all the life lessons she’ll need to conquer this world.”

Baby Emery's arrival did affect a couple of tour dates on the Josh Abbott Band's current Live It While You've Got It Tour: Thursday night's (May 4) concert in Manhattan, Kan., and Friday night's show in Fayetteville, Ark., are being rescheduled so that Abbott can be there for his girlfriend and new daughter.

Abbott and Parnell announced her pregnancy on Easter Sunday (April 15). Abbott was previously married: He and his now-ex-wife Amanda got divorced in 2014, after the singer-songwriter publicly admitted to infidelity and alcohol abuse via social media; the couple had been married since 2010.

The Josh Abbott Band’s newest album, Front Row Seat, was inspired by his divorce. The record debuted at No. 1 on Billboard‘s Independent Albums chart and nabbed a Top 10 spot on the Top Country Albums chart (No. 9) following its release in November of 2015.

“We feel like we made an album that, in my opinion, I don’t know that we’ll ever make a better one,” Abbott says. “We’ll make great albums, but it’ll be hard to beat the concept and just the overall feel of this record. It will be really hard for us to top that, I think.”
