Governor Dennis Daugaard's office says Daugaard's Chief of Staff, Dusty Johnson, will leave that position next month for a private sector job.

Johnson has been Chief of Staff since Daugaard took office in January of 2011.

Before that he spent six years as a member of the Public Utilities Commission, resigning shortly after beginning his second term to work for Daugaard.

Johnson's last day will be November 7, and Daugaard says he will not make any announcements about staffing until after the November election.
