Jody Rosenboom Wins Huset’s [VIDEO]
I must start off correcting myself in the commentary in this video. I state that it’s Jody’s first appearance in this class at Huset’s this year. What I meant to say was it is his first appearance in this class in this car at Huset’s this year.
I was out of control due to excitement. I get that way when announcing racing. Sorry.
Sunday night Rosenboom brought in the family owned #14 outlaw sprinter and drove it to victory. The Rock Rapids, Iowa driver led flag to flag for his first outlaw sprint victory this season.
Terry McCarl, who set quick time in qualifying, charged from tenth starting position and tried to close in but settled for second place. Ian Madsen was third, Mark Dobmeier fourth and Lynton Jeffrey fifth.
Tommy Barber of Brandon held off Robby Wolfgang to win the 360 sprints. It was Barber’s first Huset’s win this year and both of those front runners and outlaw sprint winner Rosenboom have father’s in the Huset’s Speedway Hall of Fame.
Craig Hanisch racks up win number five in the street stocks. Dustin Kruse heads the win column in the b mods winning race number four on the season after a close battle with Dan Carsrud.
And Dustin Gulbrandson of Sioux Falls won the hobby stocks for a fourth time this season in the #6 car. You can check out the complete results on the August 25 race.
