The most iconic name in the history of the Minnesota Twins is Harmon Killebrew.

Oh, there have been other great names, superstars, 'faces' of the franchise.

Certainly Kirby Puckett (my Mom's all-time favorite Twin).  Rod Carew, the greatest hitter in the history of the Twins.  Tony Oliva (my brother's favorite Twin), a man who deserves to be in the Major League Baseball Hall of Fame.

And others...Kaat, Blyleven, Allison, Hrbek, Mauer and more.

But none reached the Minnesota heights of Harmon Killebrew.

Oh, and another great name in Twins history?

'Mudcat'.

Jim 'Mudcat' Grant was a favorite Twin when i was growing up.  A very, very good pitcher, 'Mudcat' was part of the Twins pennant winning team of 1965.

But in this video, 'Mudcat' doesn't pitch,  Nope, here he honor's his late friend Harmon Killebrew at the Metrodome during Harmon's memorial service.

'Mudcat' wasn't only a very, very good pitcher.  He's also a very, very good singer.
