Jim Carrey’s Girlfriend Commits Suicide

Cathriona White, the on-again, off-again girlfriend of comedian/actor Jim Carrey was found dead in her home Monday morning, September 28, 2015. White, 28, was found unresponsive by a friend and pronounced dead at the scene. The cause of death is suspected to be suicide by drug overdose.

Carrey issued this statement today:

"I am shocked and deeply saddened by the passing of my sweet Cathriona. She was a truly kind and delicate Irish flower, too sensitive for this soil, to whom loving and being loved was all that sparkled. My heart goes out to her family and friends and to everyone who loved and cared about her. We have all been hit with a lightning bolt."

According to reports, a suicide note was found in her Sherman Oaks, CA home that mentioned her relationship with Carrey. Sources say she and Carrey split on September 24, 2015.
