The great Johnny Cash was many things.  Country Star.  Legendary Songwriter.  Member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.  Actor.

And TV host.

From June of 1969 through March of 1971, Johnny hosted his own variety show on ABC TV.  Taped at the legendary Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, it featured the biggest country music star's of the day.

But hey, this is Johnny Cash.  So...it went way beyond country music.

From Bob Dylan to Jose Feliciano, from rock and rollers to pop music icon's, the Johnny Cash Show was, indeed, 'variety'.

Here, the legendary Jazz artist Louie Armstrong appears on the show.  Now, when I think of Louie Armstrong, I immediately think of 'Hello Dolly' and 'What A Wonderful World'.  Well, here comes Louie in a 10-gallon hat and singing country music.
