The search for 21-year-old Jared Jerome Stone has ended. Authorities in Wyoming apprehended Stone early Thursday morning, April 28, 2016 after a chase in western Nebraska and southeastern Wyoming.

Stone, wanted for killing 28-year-old Baptiste White Eyes, who was shot in the head outside the Lucky Lady Casino in Sioux Falls on Friday, April 22, 2016, had successfully eluded police since the time of the murder.

Police have yet to comment on the relationship between Stone and White Eyes, other than they were acquaintances. However, authorities do believe the shooting was not a random act.

Earlier in the week, police arrested 26-year-old Lachara Bordeaux, a person police believe was an alleged accessory to the crime. Bordeaux was taken into custody in Iowa on Tuesday, April 26.

Bordeaux was identified by authorities as the driver of a stolen vehicle that was reported to be transporting suspect Jared Jerome Stone as a passenger.

After her arrest, Bordeaux claims she was held at gun point since the shooting took place on Friday. She is in the process of being extradited back to Sioux Falls.
