I’m a Heart Attack Waiting to Happen. Here Are the 10 Worst Foods for Your Heart.
I'm not exactly the picture of health. I don't like fruits (unless it's coconut in a coconut creme pie or pumpkin in a pumpkin pie) and I can count on one hand how many vegetables I like. Although, I'm not sure you can legitimately count corn, peas and potatoes as a vegetable when they're mostly starch.
The gang over at Thrillist.com called a cardiologist to investigate certain foods that have a reputation for possibly causing heart disease. Unfortunately, I've already eaten 8 of the 10 foods on the list this week and several are staples in my "diet."
The heart doctor said that eating everything in moderation is the key and that eating a little of any of the foods on the list won't kill you.
Here's the list:
- French fries
- Sausage
- Red meat (including pork)
- Potato and corn chips
- Soda
- Treats with tropical oils
- Chinese food
- Pizza
- Canned soup
- Butter, mayo and sour cream-laden foods.
