I hope Paul Pierce doesn't retire.

The longtime sharp shooter and future hall of famer just saw another NBA season come to an end. This time as a member of the Washington Wizards.

The "Truth" being apparently very truthful discussed his future.

"Truthfully, what was going through my mind is, I don't have too much of these efforts left, if any," he told the Washington Post. "These rides throughout the NBA season, throughout the playoffs, are very emotional. They take a lot out of not only your body, but your mind, your spirit."

Now this might be just a emotional Pierce after as he mentioned another emotional ride throughout the NBA playoffs, but it also might be the end.

On the court, at least in the playoffs, Pierce looked great.

He averaged over 14 points per game and nailed two buzzer beaters during the playoffs in addition to clearly being a leader on and off the court.

For my Wizards sake, I sure hope Paul Pierce doesn't retire, because I think for Washington to take the next step, Pierce needs to be a part of the process.

He always provides a sense for the dramatic and we all know in the clutch, he answers the bell.  We also learned this playoff season the "he called game!"

However, if it is the end, we got a lot of great moments courtesy of the Truth, one Paul Pierce.
