The Memorial Day race at Huset's Speedway featured good cars and a fast race track with plenty of passing. As far as how fast, over half the field timed in the 10 second category.

The quick time was set by Lucas Wolfe of Mechanicsburg, PA in the Buffalo Wild Wings #82 car. Wolfe set the pace at an elapse time of 10.668.

In the feature, 8th starter Terry McCarl works his way out front by lap 9 passing everybody in front of him including his son Austin. Never looking back, even after 9th place starter Mark Dobmeier let Terry know that he was in 2nd during a caution, the black #24 would stay out front thru lap 25's double checkered flag.

Terry McCarl, the 7 time defending champion at Huset's and Knoxville, earned his 93rd Huset's victory. The total includes 1 World of Outlaw and 2 All Star event wins. McCarl now starts closing in on a 100th Huset's victory.

No one is even close to McCarl's tally. His numbers in Huset's records books are going to be safe for many years to come, possibly generations.

Dobmeier, the 4 time champion going for a 2nd straight Huset's win, settles for 2nd, Austin McCarl was 3rd, Lucas Wolfe came from 10th to 4th, and 15 year old Chris Martin charged from 11th to 5th.

Derrik Lusk making his debut in a 410 at Huset's, looked super good leading early in the race before rear-end problems with the car would send him to the infield.

And a quick rundown of the other class winners looks like this:

Dusty Ballenger of Harrisburg in the #2D wins his 2nd in as many events in the 360 sprints. Brandon Buysse of Randall, MN won the 600cc micro sprints. Travis Schreurs of Baltic in his #1 car won his 1st ever Huset's street stock feature after a back and forth battle with Shaun Taylor in car #71. In the B-Mods, Ryan Walker, in the 06W car out of Kanaranzi, MN, took over the lead at the white flag and went on for the win. And in the hobby stocks it was Zach Olivier in car #71 of Sioux Falls leading all 12 laps.
