Husband Arrested for Stabbing Sioux Falls Woman, Nephew in Domestic Dispute
Officer Sam Clemens says police were called twice around 7:00 p.m., and when officers arrived they found a 30-year-old woman with two stab wounds to her arm, and her 24-year-old nephew with a stab wound to his shoulder.
Clemens says the woman told police her husband was responsible for the injuries.
“She gave information about her husband and officers were able to find him. There is a ravine behind their home by some railroad tracks a little bit west of Falls Park in that general area,” explained Clemens. “We had a couple officers that found him. Once they had taken him into custody he ended up spitting in the face of a different officer as he was being placed in his patrol car.”
Clemens says 41-year-old Ricardo Reyes, who was intoxicated, was charged with aggravated assault-domestic, aggravated assault, sliming, resisting arrest and interference with emergency communications.
The woman and her nephew were treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
He says the nephew was injured when he tried to break up the fight between Reyes and his wife, and the woman was not sure when she was stabbed, although she also had a black eye and other abrasions.
