Huron Man Gets 50 Years for Raping Girl

HURON, S.D. (AP) — A 66-year old Huron man is going to prison on a 50-year sentence for raping a 10-year-old girl.

KOKK-AM reports the judge sentenced John Rose to 80 years but suspended 30 years.

Rose pleaded guilty in October to first-degree rape. In exchange, 31 other charges against him were dropped.
