With temperatures climbing back near 90 this weekend, you may get confused and think it's July 4 with the massive fireworks display at the W.H. Lyon Fairgrounds his Saturday, but it's just the finale of the National Fireworks Expo being held here this week.

What this means for the community is that there will be a giant fireworks display finale September 7 after dusk. Parking will be available in the North Lot off of Madison St. and seating in the Grandstand will be open.

Witnesses to the 2012 finale have described it as amazing and an once in a lifetime experience. Cost is only $5 per carload or $2 per person for multi-passenger vehicles.

There has been smaller displays each night during the Expo. I've had people tell me that's Saturday night's display rivals The Olympics or Super Bowl! With beautiful weather in the forecast, it sounds like a great night to head out for a huge fireworks show!
