Jordan Spieth looked to be on cruise control on his way to a second green jacket and $1.80 million. Unfortunately his performance on hole 12 cost him a ton of money.

Admit it. We all were watching the Masters thinking that Spieth had the tournament locked up. That emotion quickly switched as we watched the 22-year old star suddenly look human.

Seven shots it took Spieth to complete the Par-3 12th hole at Augusta. That collapse put him from a five-shot lead in first to fighting from behind. Danny Willett would go on the Masters and claim the green jacket and $1.80 million.

Spieth had to crown Willett with the green jacket, but he also took quite a hit in the pocket. Bleacher Report says that Spieth and Lee Westwood would receive $880,000 each for being tied for second.

Based on those numbers, Spieth's 12th hole at Augusta cost him approximately $920,000.

Ouch.
