ABERDEEN, S.D. (AP) — A large hotel company is shifting a call center from Aberdeen to Indianapolis, leaving hundreds in the South Dakota town jobless.

Wyndham Hotel Group spokeswoman Marie Griffin tells KSFY-TV the call center employing about 250 people is set to close at the end of January.

Griffin says employees won't be laid off before the call center closes and the company is working to help employees find new jobs.

She says the decision to move the call center was difficult to make.
