WIND CAVE NATIONAL PARK, S.D. (AP) — The hard work of about two dozen high school-aged volunteers will help hikers find their way through the backcountry at Wind Cave National Park.

The Black Hills park says the two 11-person Student Conservation Association crews each spent three weeks working and camping there.

They installed 116 wooden posts marking around 4 1/2 miles of the Highland Creek and Centennial trails.

There are now more than 30 miles of hiking trails available for exploring the park's backcountry.
