ABERDEEN, S.D. (AP) — An Aberdeen health clinic that serves Native Americans and people with low incomes is closing at the end of the month.

The American News reports that officials with Urban Indian Health aren't commenting on the reasons for the clinic closure after 36 years of operations, or what will happen to the four employees there.

Executive Director Donna Keeler says Urban Indian Health is working to transition patients to other care options in the community.

Urban Indian Health is a nonprofit corporation funded through a contract with the federal Indian Health Service. It also operates clinics in Sioux Falls and Pierre.
