Has Sioux Falls Ever Gone An Entire Winter With No Snow?

With all the talk of perhaps having a brown Christmas this year, the question was raised, "Has Sioux Falls even gone a whole winter season with no snowfall?"

Todd Heitkamp, of the Sioux Falls National Weather Service, has the answer.

To put it all in perspective, on average, Sioux Falls picks up between 35 and 40 inches of snow during a typical winter season.
