The students of Harrisburg Horizon Elementary School learned the true meaning of Christmas recently, by collecting massive amounts of personal hygiene products for the children and adults that are supported by LifeScape here in Sioux Falls.

KDLT News is reporting, that students and faculty from Harrisburg Horizon spearheaded the toiletries collection drive after hearing about a $250,000 budget cut that impacted the people with disabilities at LifeScape.

Horizon 4th grade teacher Tonda Kirton told KDLT News, “At Horizon we have a community that cares about people a lot. So they wanted to share what they had with others.”

On Tuesday, (December 19) nearly 500 pounds of toiletry items were packed up and sent over to the children and adults who rely on LifeScape for help and support.

Great job guys! Thanks for doing your part to help spread the Christmas spirit!
