A while back Rolling Stone Magazine put out their list of the 100 Greatest Country Artists of All Time. For the most part, we couldn't argue with "who" was on the list, but the placement was another story. But this list, like any "greatest" list, is subjective and open to interpretation.

That got us to thinking: What if we put it to a vote? Better yet, with college basketball season in full swing, what if we created a Greatest Country Artist of All Time Bracket Challenge. So we did!

We took the Top 64 artists on Rolling Stone's list and put together a bracket. We limited it to just the 64 because that's what the NCAA does (and no play in games... we hate the play in games). Each day we will post a pairing on our Facebook page where you can vote for your favorite in each match-up.

Now, not every country artist could be on the list and yes, it is made up mostly of classic county artists. The impact of most younger artists is still to be determined. So don't yell at us. Besides, it's Rolling Stone's list. Yell at them.

This will challenge your country music knowledge. Like, who are The Carter Family and why are they ranked so high? Why is Gram Parsons even on this list?

It will also challenge your country music loyalties. Like, what happens when Kenny Rogers faces off with favorite duet partner Tammy Wynette? What happens if Loretta Lynn is pitted against her inspiration, Patsy Cline?
