It has become apparent that we're not the only ones enamored with the newest addition to the animal population at our Great Plains Zoo.

President and CEO of the Great Plains Zoo and Delbridge Museum, Elizabeth Whealy, brought this to our attention, by sharing a video which has gone viral in Europe. A morning news show host in France, Catherine Nicholson, featured the video one morning and people went (if you'll pardon the expression) "ape" over it!

Only 14 zoos in the world even have Snow Monkeys (also referred to as Japanese Macaques) which are native to the snowy mountain areas of Japan. They are on the threatened species list, which makes successful breeding programs immensely important.

Good to know other people get to enjoy watching our very own zoo babies thrive!
