Finally some good news about food!  Eating pasta is not fattening!  Eating pasta actually decreases your chances of getting fat!

A new Italian study that surveyed more than 23,000 people indicates that eating pasta may both lower body mass and waist to hip ratio.

The study published in the journal Nutrition and Diabetes went on to say the consumption of pasta is associated with better weight management especially if it occurs as part of the famed 'Mediterranean diet'.

Some nutritionists are pointing out that carbohydrates have been 'unfairly demonised' and pointed out how a healthy 'Mediterranean' type diet with an emphasis on fruit, veggies, fish, and whole grains, is one of the healthiest things you can follow.

The trick it seems is not to cover your pasta with a bunch of high calorie creamy sauces and fatty meats.

This is good news, right!  Now I just need a study to show me the good effects of eating pie and ice cream.
