BROOKINGS, S.D. (AP) — The seventh annual Governor's Agricultural Summit hosted by the South Dakota Department of Agriculture will be held June 1-2 in Brookings.

Interim Agriculture Secretary Dustin Oedekoven says the summit provides an opportunity for stakeholders from all aspects of agriculture to come together to talk about the state's largest industry.

The event at the Swiftel Center kicks off with an ag tour to provide attendees a closer look at agriculture in the east central region of the state. The following day's program will focus on agricultural policy, weather's impact on agriculture and water quality.

It will also showcase how some of the state's producers are incorporating a variety of conservation practices into their operations.
