Minnesota Golden Gophers junior wide reciever Devin Crawford-Tufts announced he is leaving the team Monday and will join the track and field team full-time.

Crawford-Tufts has been playing football and running track and field the last two years. As a sophomore last year, Crawford-Tufts finished with 189 yards on 16 receptions. His only career touchdown came in the Meineke Car Care Bowl last year.

Redshirt junior Isaac Fruechte, redshirt senior Derrick Engel, redshirt freshman Jamel Harbison, and sophomore K.J. Maye return as wide receivers for the Gophers for 2013.

The Gophers begin preseason training camp in less than one week.
