Getting the Most from a Gift Card

According to the latest stats, many of us got a gift card for the holidays - maybe even a few of them.

If you're one of them, get out and use it now!!!

Well, that may be a bit of an exaggeration, but keep this in mind, many cards have an expatriation date, so check to see if yours does and when.

Consumer Expert Andrea Warrick says also see if you need to register your card, and if you do don't wait.

And if you don't like the card, Warrick says you might be able to get cash for it.

"They all offer different rates so it's important to compare to find the best payout for that gift card."
