George Hamilton IV was a country music great. He passed away in 2014, leaving behind hit songs that will live forever.

His career breakthrough was in 1961 with the song "Before This Day Ends". His biggest hit of all came two years later with the song "Abilene".

In the 1970's, his focus was taking country music around the globe. He went on a world tour, taking country music into the Soviet Union, Poland, Australia, the Middle East and East Asia.

These widely acclaimed international performances earned Hamilton the nickname The International Ambassador of Country Music

Now, my son Mark Jr., asked me if there was a George Hamilton V. When I looked into it, I got more than I bargained for.

Yes, there is a George Hamilton V and there is also a George Hamilton VI.
