Garth Brooks fans will get a taste of the country star's new music this fall: A brand-new song, "Pure Adrenaline," is being used as CBS' theme song for its SEC football broadcasts during the 2016 season.

Beginning with the UCLA vs. Texas A&M game at 3:30PM ET on Sept. 3, Brooks' "Pure Adrenaline" will open each SEC on CBS broadcast. Brooks announced the news on Monday (Aug. 15), during a special afternoon edition of his "Inside Studio G" series on Facebook. The singer teamed with Gordon Kennedy to write "Pure Adrenaline," which will be on his next studio album but will not be a single, according to Brooks; the song's lyrics and the opening video will be customized each week, to fit that week's match-up. In the videos, Brooks uses a bass guitar that belonged to his late studio bassist, Mike Chapman, as a tribute to the recently deceased musician.

During the webcast, Brooks showed fans around backstage during the video shoot for the SEC on CBS theme; fans can press play on the video above to watch the full "Inside Studio G" episode.

Brooks originally planned to follow 2014's Man Against Machine with another new album in 2015 or 2016, but in March, he announced that he was delaying the project so that he could write what he calls “the most Garth thing I have ever done.” Brooks now hopes to release that solo album, as well as a Christmas record with wife Trisha Yearwood, this fall.

The artist recently announced that he had left his record label, RCA Nashville, and will be releasing his new music on his own Pearl Records. In addition to his label change, Brooks is working on a deal with a streaming partner and working on a retail deal. He is also hiring a radio promotions staff to help with his new album.

Beginning Sept. 8, Brooks will launch his own SiriusXM satellite radio channel, featuring a playlist of music from Brooks and the artists who influenced him; Brooks-hosted shows and behind-the-scenes commentary; and live concert recordings, other rarities and shows hosted by the singer’s friends and fans. He’ll celebrate the new venture with an invitation-only concert at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium — his first-ever full show at the historic venue.

Since the fall of 2014, Brooks has been on the road, with Yearwood, on his World Tour. Following the conclusion of his North American World Tour dates in 2017, Brooks says he’s exploring options for shows overseas, including in Europe and Australia.
