This may seem like a broken record, but another retail store is closing its doors. GameStop, which is a video game, consumer electronics, and wireless services retailer is planning on closing 150 of their stores nationwide.

According to USAToday.com, the retailer will close 2% to 3% of its more than 7,500 stores around the world, but did not specify which locations would be closing. GameStop says weak sales of certain blockbuster video games released during the critical holiday season and "aggressive console promotions" by other retailers contributed to the plunge.

I reached out to the 5 GameStop locations within the state of South Dakota, and they weren't informed of how directly the local stores would be effected. We spoke to the GameStop in Yankton and they said that lot of gamers are going digital and downloading their games.

Stay tuned for future updates.
