PIERRE, S.D. (AP) — Former U.S. Senate candidate Clayton Walker who's been indicted on election law violations has been ordered held without bond.

KCCR radio reports that Walker appeared in court on Thursday, one day after he was arrested for violating the conditions of his personal recognizance bond. That bond was issued in June after he was indicted on charges of perjury and filing false election documents.

The 33-year-old also is accused of making repeated phone calls to several state offices threatening and harassing employees.

Walker is scheduled to appear in court again on Oct. 7.

Walker, of Black Hawk, was taken off the ballot after his nominating petitions were successfully challenged on grounds they included unregistered voters and had other discrepancies.
