(AP) - Jennifer Nettles says she'd be crazy not to be nervous about dropping a solo album - after years of being part of Sugarland. But she's ready to take on the challenge of going solo.

She says people ask if she's scared of being a solo act and she says she is - in the way one gets scared when something is important. Her new album is titled "That Girl" and it's in stores now.

She says she has wanted to do a solo album for years - but also wanted to do right by Sugarland. She says she loves the group and doesn't want to do anything that would hurt the duo.

Sugarland will be on hiatus while both Nettles and Sugarland partner Kristian Bush work on their separate projects.
