Paul Weyh, a Navy Veteran who was homeless for 10 months, says Veterans Stand Down 2015 is being held on Friday at the VFW located at 3601 South Minnesota Avenue in Sioux Falls.

"You know we have winter coming up. So, there are going to be a lot of veterans checking out what we have for winter gear and clothing. The Stand Down 2015 provides an opportunity for veteran that need any kind of help. We are going to have a lot of counselors there plus a bunch of others Vets that are in some type of recovery program."

Weyh urges Veterans who are in need to participate in the annual event.

"Get on over here---because there are going to be a lot of things going on. The Stand Down 2015 is only 9:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. After the event ends, we'll probably have a lot of visitations among rm the V.A. and.Vet. That's a big thing too."

Stand Down 2015 is an intensive service fair for Homeless Veterans and their families.
