(AP) - A former U.S. House member who served on the Agriculture Committee is the keynote speaker at the 2013 Governor's Ag Development Summit.
 
     Charlie Stenholm will give the keynote address at the Wednesday event. Stenholm is currently a senior policy adviser at a Washington-based law firm.
 
     This is the fourth year for the Ag Development Summit. The South Dakota Department of Agriculture will update attendees on the progress of recent agricultural initiatives at the summit, which starts at 8 a.m. at the Best Western Ramkota Inn in Pierre. The event is open to the public and free of charge.
