In the 1960's comedian Flip Wilson appeared on almost all the talk shows and variety shows.  In this clip, he's doing a great stand-up routine on The Ed Sullivan Show.

In the early 1970's, of course, we all loved watching him every week as he hosted 'The Flip Wilson Show'.

Whether he was Geraldine Jones, Reverend LeRoy or one of his other characters, there was nothing quite like a bowl of popcorn and Flip Wilson on TV.  By the way, did you know a young George Carlin was one of his TV show writers?

Flip passed away from liver cancer in 1998 at the too young age of 64.

But he sure did make us laugh.  I guess the Devil made him do it!
