Sometimes the best fishing spots are the hardest to get to, and if you don't have a boat, you might not have access at all.  Along the Missouri River near Pickstown, South Dakota things have changed.

While visiting friends this weekend we decided to take a look at the new features below Ft. Randall Dam at Pickstown. When you pull through you see right away how much better getting to great fishing is today. The newly added road butts right up to the river below the spillway. They have almost created a beach area, including fire pits.

Grab a cooler and your fishing pole, maybe some bug spray and sunscreen and you're set to go. Nice job. Awesome improvement for those who like to, or have to fish from shore.
