Fire Safety Tips from Sioux Falls Fire Marshall Dean Lanier [VIDEO]

Fire Prevention Week is officially underway!  Sioux Falls Fire Marshall Dean Lanier says it's time to focus on home safety.

Dean urges residents to prepare their homes for winter.  Aside from checking on the furnace, it's also time to make sure the smoke alarms are in proper working condition.

Before lighting up, Dean says homeowners planning to use their fireplace this winter should have the chimney inspected for animal, debris and leaves that may have fallen in.
