It's the largest meeting of social workers in South Dakota!  The 2013 NASW-SD Annual Confercence will be held Thursday and Friday March 21 and 22 at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Sioux Falls.

Please join fellow NASW members for a ‘Meet & Greet’ with our new Executive Director, Terry Werner, BSW. Network with fellow social workers and friends. Also an informal membership meeting bringing membership up to date on the latest NASW news.

We will meet at the Tre Lounge on the corner of 33rd and Spring, 601 W. 33rd, Sioux Falls.

“A New Commitment to South Dakota Mental Illness and Chemical Dependency Treatment” by Scott Peters J.D.

A little more about Scott Peters:

He is the Co-Chair, Minnehaha-Lincoln County Board of Mental Illness, 1986 to present. He is also a member of the Lt. Governor’s Behavioral Health Workgroup, 2011-2012, assisting in drafting, supporting, and implementing revisions to the mental illness and chemical dependency commitment statutes.  His education includes a Juris Doctorate, University of South Dakota of Law, 1980; B.A. degree in government and public policy, Augustana College, Sioux Falls, South Dakota, 1977.
