The National Weather Service and Emergency Management offices from the City of Sioux Falls, Minnehaha County, and Lincoln County are partnering to offer a severe weather awareness training session that has been rescheduled due to bad weather from Monday, April 22, 2013 to Monday, May 13, 2013 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Washington Pavilion Mary W. Sommervold Hall at 301 South Main Avenue.

The program will review weather safety procedures, storm spotting fundamentals, how to report severe weather observations, and historical storm systems that have affected the region.

This session is open to area first responders and the general public at no cost.
