Events in Sioux Falls This Weekend

July 26 (Friday)…GREATEST SHOW ON H20…At Catfish Bay Waterski Park, I-90, exit 399.  7pm.

July 26 (Friday)…OLD COURTHOUSE MUSEUM SUMMER PLAZA CONCERT SERIES…Noon-1pm at the Old Courthouse Museum.  Free, live outdoor music.  This week it’s Rob Crosby.

July 26 (Friday)…FAMILY FISHING…6-9pm at Family Park, located near West 12th and Tea/Ellis Road.  The Outdoor Campus and the Sioux Falls Park and Rec will host the free fishing event.  They’ll supply the rods, reels and bait on a first-come, first-served basis.  Fishing licenses are required for anyone 16 and over.

July 26 (Friday)…727th TRANSPORTATION COMPANY OF THE SOUTH DAKOTA ARMY NATIONAL GUARD SOCIAL GATHERING…7pm-Midnight at the Brookings National Guard Armory.  If you were ever a member of the 727th Transportation Company, join your comrades for this fun event.  A cash bar will be available.  (For more info call Casey 695-1485)

July 26 (Friday)…AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY RELAY FOR LIFE FUN RUN…Registration at 5pm, run at 7pm at McEneany Field on the O’Gorman Campus.  An untimed fun run in honor and memory of those with cancer.  (605-951-1425)

July 27 (Saturday)…FAMILY FEST…9am-5pm at the W.H. Lyon Fairgrounds.  A fun day for the entire family.  Six acres of fun!  Live entertainment, inflatables, zipline, laser tag arena, splash zone, zoo express, obstacle course, Rainbow Play Station, face painting, train rides, roller racers, paddle boats, vendors, food booths and more!  Admission is $5 per adult, kids 14 and under are free.  Bring a used cell phone and get in free.  Once inside, all the activities and entertainment are free.

July 27 (Saturday)…SOUNDS AT THE FALLS…Free musical entertainment from 7-9pm at the Queen Bee Mill in FallsPark.  Limited seating is available, bring your own chairs.  This week’s entertainment is Condor featuring bluegrass, old time, folk, blues and rock.  (In case of inclement weather, the show will be cancelled at 5pm.  Like Sioux Falls Parks and Recreation on Facebook and know the status of the show.)

July 27 (Saturday)…REESE WHITNEY CANCER BENEFIT…1-7pm at the Safari Bar in Renner.  There will be a silent auction, raffle, bean bag tournament, karaoke, food and beverages.  18-month old Reese was diagnosed with a rare cancerous tumor.   (Jessica 366-1065)

July 27 (Saturday)…FARMER’S MARKET…There are two Farmer’s Market’s you can check out in downtown Sioux Fallson Saturdays.  The Falls Park Farmer’s Market at FallsParkacross from the horse barn and the Sioux Empire Farmer’s Market located in the parking lot at 8th and Railroad.  You’ll find vegetables, flowers, jellies, meats and more.

July 27 (Saturday)…DAKOTA IRISH FAIR…3-10pm at Falls Park West (5th and Phillips).  Live music and dancing, kids’ activities, music lessons, heritage and cultural exhibits, food and beverage vendors.

(July 27 (Saturday)…SATURDAY IN THE PARK…at Kennedy Park in Canton.  Events include a fun run, pancake feed, food and craft booths, inflatables, car parade at 7pm followed by a cruise night.  Sunday is the Canton Area Car Show from 11am-4pm.

July 27 (Saturday)…USD CAR WASH…Noon-5pm at 33rd andMinnesota in the Metabank parking lot.  The USD Dance Team is raising money to go towards their nationals trip toDaytona Beach in April.

July 28 (Sunday)…CANTON AREA CAR SHOW…11am-4pm in downtown Canton.  Live music, free inflatables, radio controlled race cars and more.

July 28 (Sunday)…SIOUX FALLS MUNICIPAL BAND…3pm at the Orpheum Theater.  The theme is Highlights of 2013.  8pm at Terrace Park Bandshell with the theme:  Sousa.
