Entertainment Weekly Names Top TV Show Of All Time

Cast Of The Wire
Scott Wintrow

‘The Wire’? Best TV show ever?  I’ll have to take their word for it.  I’ve never seen it.  I suppose I’m missing out.  Darn.

Well, as for me and the shows I have seen-I guess I’d have to go with ‘Seinfeld’.

I can watch Seinfeld over and over and yes, can usually tell you exactly what the episode is about after about, oh, five seconds or so.  Kramer is probably my second favorite TV character of all time (behind Barney Fife….no one tops Barney!).

I’d say in my Top 5 would also be The Andy Griffith Show (only the black and white episodes), M-A-S-H, maybe The Rockford Files and….well, it weould be a fight for #5.

So, you fans of ‘The Wire’, congratulations, your show is #1 according to Entertainment Weekly!

(AP) – “The Wire” tops Entertainment Weekly’s list of the 100 Greatest TV Shows of All Time.

“The Simpsons” ranks second, followed by “Seinfeld,” “The Mary Tyler Moore Show” and “The Sopranos.” “All in the Family” is next, then “The Andy Griffith Show,” “Buffy the Vampire Slayer,” “Mad Men” and “Your Show of Shows.”"American Idol” ranks 53rd. “Saturday Night Live” is 12th. “Breaking Bad” is at number 18.

Other shows on the list include “Dawson’s Creek” and “Felicity,” “ER” and “Grey’s Anatomy,” “M-A-S-H,” “Modern Family,” “Lost,” “I Love Lucy,” “Freaks and Geeks,” “Game of Thrones,” “Beavis and Butthead,” “South Park,” “Mystery Science Theater 3000″ and “Good Times.”
