WATERTOWN, S.D. (AP) — East River Electric Power Cooperative is holding its annual meeting on Wednesday.

The meeting begins at 9:45 a.m. at the Watertown Events Center. Officials will discuss the recent finalization of East River's move to an indenture form of mortgage, outcomes of the 2013 Legislative sessions in South Dakota and Minnesota and federal power issues.

Other topics include East River's financial outlook, its marketing and communications plan and rural economic development.

A 1:45 p.m. panel discussion featuring representatives from Basin Electric and Western Area Power Administration will focus on issues related to joining a regional transmission organization.

The day's events culminate with a 3 p.m. business meeting with director elections and the adoption of the cooperative's policy statements.
