Sioux Falls Police arrested an intoxicated driver late Thursday night who ran a stop sign and rammed into another vehicle.

"Officers found out the driver who caused the accident was intoxicated," Police Spokesman Sam Clemens told us. "They also noticed there were three children in the backseat. All of them were under the age of five. One of them had some minor injuries...nothing serious."

Clemens says it's frustrating that some people still drink and drive in Sioux Falls.

Clemens says 41-year-old Melinda Footbull of Sioux Falls has been charged with DWI 3rd and child endangerment.

The children have been turned over to relatives.
