Don’t Rob Gun Store With a Bat

The old saying is don’t bring a knife to a gunfight and apparently you also shouldn’t try to rob a gun store with a baseball bat. But this idiot tried.

On Thursday (September 19) 22-year old Derrick Mosley walked into a Beaverton, Oregon gun shop with a baseball bat, smashed a display case and grabbed a gun.

Not a smart move.

The gun shop owner pulled out his personal firearm, leveled it at the would-be robber and told him to drop the gun, the bat, and the nine-inch blade he also had on him (again, knife to a gunfight???)

Deputies found Mosley on the floor held at gunpoint by the store owner when they arrived. Mosley’s bail was set at $250,000 for charges of first degree robbery, first degree theft, unlawful possession of a firearm, and second degree criminal mischief.

Apparently police decided to not charge him with being a complete idiot.
