Disorderly Man Gets Tased After Allegedly Assaulting Police

Two Sioux Falls Police officers were driving westbound on the 200 Block of East 6th Street on Tuesday when they spotted a disorderly man walking into traffic.

When the officers stopped to speak with him and remove him from traffic, the suspect complied but eventually went back into traffic.

When he was approached by the officers a second time, he punched one of them in the head.

He was than tased and brought under control.

Police identified John Mayiel Choul and he was arrested and charged with Simple Assault on Law Enforcement, Disorderly Conduct, and Obstructing Police.
