Did You Know Roger Ramjet Has A South Dakota Connection?

The patriotic and highly moral good-guy Roger Ramjet first entered our living room television sets in 1965.  New cartoon episodes ran for 5 years and have been in some form of syndication ever since.

Who was Roger Ramjet?  Well, while he perhaps doesn't rank up there with Popeye, Mickey Mouse and Huckleberry Hound, Roger and his American Eagle squadron fought for good against the 'evil-doers'....villains like the gangster Noodles Romanoff, who of course, worked for the evil organization N.A.S.T.Y. (oh, for those of you that don't know, N.A.S.T.Y. stood for 'National Association Of Spies, Traitors and Yahoos'...of course).

Oh and did you know the voice of Roger Ramjet was provided by none other than Mitchell, S.D. native Gary Owens?  Yep, we have a cool South Dakota connection to this cartoon Super Hero!

So let's take a trip back to childhood and watch Roger vanquish the bad guys...again!
