It wasn't too long ago that David Allen Coe was in Sioux Falls with a performance at the Orpheum Theater. Turns out, 'getting home the other night turned into some tough sleddin' for Coe.  According to The Boot,

Country music legend David Allen Coe was involved in a serious tractor accident March 19th in Ocala Florida.  Rescue crews had to use extrication equipment to remove the 73-year-old from his 2011 Chevrolet Suburban. Coe was treated for "non-life threatening conditions."

According to the Ocala Police Department, the incident occurred this morning around 1:30 AM, when Coe failed to stop at a red light on State Road 40. The passenger side of "The Ride" singer's vehicle was then hit by a 1996 Peterbilt tractor-trailer semi, sending the Suburban into a parking lot at a corner of the intersection.

David is best known for his hit single "You Never Even Called Me by My Name," but he also wrote the Johnny Paycheck classic "Take This Job and Shove It."

Coe was sited for failing to stop at a stoplight.
