I always really like Halloween night on DWTS. The show already has a great wardrobe, hair, and make-up department and then you throw in Halloween and some amazing stuff happens.

Not only was it Halloween night, but it was Team Dance night! I love the Team Dances as well. They never disappoint.

But before the Team Dances, all the couples performed their routines. The two standout performances for me were Bindi and Derek and Carlos and Witney.

Bindi is killing it this season. Last week her Dirty Dancing homage was awesome and this week she turned into a vampiress out to attack. Really good. I still have mixed emotions about Derek. I know he's a good dancer, but he always gets a good partner. Why wasn't he paired with Paula Deen? If he's really so good, then shouldn't he be able to partner anyone?!

In the package, Carlos says he messed up a lot last week. Well, I couldn't tell, but if that motivated him to do better this week then so be it. His paso doble with a Phanton of the Opera theme was really good. Very powerful and dramatic. Good thing Witney didn't make it easier for him.

Then after all the pairs performed it was time for the team dances. Team Nightmare was captained by Nick Carter and Team Who You Gonna Call was captained by Bindi Irwin.

Bindi's partner, Derek, is undefeated in the team dance competition so the pressure was on Nick's team.

And I gotta say Team Nightmare was anything but a nightmare, they were delightfully spooky. They were in sync and had a great theme and storyline.

So good, right?!?!?!  They got a perfect score, which may have put the pressure on Team Who You Gonna Call because they didn't keep things quite as tight. Leading to Derek's first loss in a team dance! Ouch!

In the end, Hayes Grier and his partner, Emma Slater went home. I was a bit surprised because he really has shown growth and was never really at the bottom of the leaderboard, but at this point everybody is pretty even kiel.

Who will go home next? Hmmm...maybe Alek.
